I excel in simple and clean design. I believe creating an easy experience for the user is essential for any online platform. I thrive at thinking outside of the box and bringing innovative ideas back to the team.
I have several years experience in design across a range of markets, with a focus on fashion design. This experience has made me adept at predicting customers wants and needs, and able to create clothing, shoes, accessories and home ware designs to meet their desires.
I have a large knowledge of the print medium and can create a diverse range of products, including digitals prints on fabric, catalogues, promotional material and screen prints.
It all began when I moved from a small country town in Western Australia to Sydney to study Fashion Design at the most prestigious school in the country, East Sydney Tech. I narrowly missed out the first time, it is an extremely competitive school producing some of the best fashion designers in the country. On my second attempt I came in the top 5% of over 1000 applicants
I start designing footwear for Apex Shoes, a Sydney shoe store famous for its individuality and boutique style. We create our first range manufactured in Indonesia. I travel to Indonesia to head the production team and become conversational in Indonesian.
I launch my self-titled label, Sasha-Rose in April with overwhelming success. A few days after the launch I was accepted to be a contestant on Project Runway Australia. During the show, I became a household name and caught the attention of Miranda Kerr and mentor Alex Perry.
I launch my second collection and attract several stockists in the Sydney region as well as Adelaide and Queenstown, New Zealand. This collection was primarily digital print based. These skills land me a job as production assistant and graphic designer for The Rarity Group, Sydney.
Travelling through Europe in the summer of 2014 for inspiration for my next collection, I fell in love with Stockholm and spent the following year planning to move here. I have put my label on hold temporarily to pursue career opportunities in Sweden. I am ready to get started on my first Swedish design project.
